The State Duma of the Russian Federation will hold a round table on attracting public-private partnership (PPP) instruments for representatives of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) for the implementation of tourist project infrastructure on July 23 at the House of Unions. The relevant address has come into the possession of "Izvestia". The initiative will be discussed by the State Duma committee on small and medium-sized entrepreneurship together with the committee of the lower house of parliament on tourism and the development of tourist infrastructure. "The tourism sector is undoubtedly a growth point that needs to be developed. However, at the same time, the number of projects is increasing every year," said Natalia Poluyanova, a member of the State Duma committee on small and medium-sized entrepreneurship, to "Izvestia". For example, in 2023, contracts worth more than 1 trillion rubles have been concluded, with large agreements executed for more than 300 trillion rubles, the deputy clarified. More than 60% of the public-private partnership is made up of private investments, Poluyanova said. The "round table" will be dedicated to the mechanisms — they are exactly what is needed right now to become an existing growth point for actual agreements on public-private partnerships... Such regulation was not in place before," she noted.
