Preparations for the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) are being completed in St. Petersburg – from city improvement and infrastructure preparation to the formation of the cultural program, and regulations for sanitary and epidemiological supervision have also been developed, the Roscongress Foundation reported.
The Governor of St. Petersburg, Alexander Beglov, held a working meeting on the city's preparation for the XXVII St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
The key theme of St. Petersburg’s exhibition and business zone this year will be 'Technologies Open to the World.' Let me remind you, one of the president’s most important directives is the construction of the Technology Valley in the Southern planning zone. And our common goal is the technological leadership of the Northern Capital. At SPIEF, we are creating a springboard for the city’s future successes in priority development areas. The agreements that the city will sign at the forum will become a support for us in achieving the tasks set by the president, the Governor said.
It is noted that the Northern Capital’s stand will present the image of a bright, dynamic St. Petersburg – a city of the future, innovation, and scientific developments with a great cultural and historical heritage. Here, solutions in the fields of unmanned vehicles, transport mobility, advanced space technologies, production and automation tools, new energy technologies, and citizens’ health preservation, as well as major infrastructure projects, will be presented.
It is planned to sign several dozen agreements aimed at further strengthening technological sovereignty, developing innovative production and the transport sector, the city’s pharmaceutical and automotive clusters, and the construction of social, business, cultural, and engineering infrastructure facilities.
St. Petersburg’s business program includes 15 events, 2 of which are part of the federal SPIEF program. These are the panel discussion 'All to the Park! Strategies and Practices of Success of Creative Sustainable Cities' and the business session 'International Promotion. Development of New Tourist Offers and Products.' The key topics of 13 regional-level events will be artificial intelligence, the development of port infrastructure, medical tourism, reducing the workforce shortage in the economy, and creative industries.
The XXVII St. Petersburg International Economic Forum will take place from June 5 to 8.
SPIEF is a space for dialogue and the development of business ties that has no equal. It is an opportunity to find partners for business development in Russia and abroad, expand the circle of clients and suppliers, make contact with decision-makers directly, attract the attention of potential investors and leading media.
