In St. Petersburg, preparations for the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) are being completed - from the improvement of the city and the preparation of infrastructure to the formation of a cultural program, and the regulations for sanitary and epidemiological surveillance have also been worked out, the Roscongress Foundation said.
The Governor of St. Petersburg [Alexander Beglov] (https://ria.ru/person_Aleksandr_Beglov/) held a working meeting on the preparation of the city for the XXVII St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
The key theme of the exposition and business zone of St. Petersburg this year will be "Technologies open to the world". Let me remind you that one of the most important instructions of the president is the construction of the Technological Valley in the Southern planning zone. And our common goal is the technological leadership of the Northern Capital. At the SPIEF site, we are creating a springboard for the future success of the city in priority areas of development. The agreements that the city will sign at the forum will help us in solving the tasks set by the President," the Governor said.
It is noted that the stand of the Northern capital will present the image of bright, dynamic St. Petersburg - the city of the future, innovations and scientific developments with a great cultural and historical heritage. It will present solutions in the field of unmanned vehicles, transport mobility, advanced space technologies, means of production and automation, new energy technologies and protecting the health of citizens, as well as the most important infrastructure projects.
It is planned to sign several dozen agreements aimed at further strengthening technological sovereignty, developing innovative production and transport, pharmaceutical and automotive clusters of the city, and building social, public, business, cultural and engineering infrastructure facilities.
The business programme of St. Petersburg includes 15 events, 2 of which are included in the SPIEF federal programme. This is a panel discussion "Everyone to the park! Strategies and Practices for the Success of Creative Sustainable Cities" and the business session "International Promotion. Development of new tourist offers and products". The key topics of 13 events at the regional level will be artificial intelligence, the development of port infrastructure, medical tourism, reducing personnel shortages in the economy and creative industries.
The XXVII St. Petersburg International Economic Forum will be held on June 5-8.
