In Saint Petersburg, preparations for the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) are being finalized – from city beautification and infrastructure readiness to the development of the cultural program. Regulations for sanitary and epidemiological supervision have also been worked out, according to the Roscongress Foundation.
The Governor of Saint Petersburg, Aleksandr Beglov, held a working meeting on the city's preparation for hosting the XXVII St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
The key theme of the exhibition and business area of Saint Petersburg this year will be “Technologies Open to the World.” I would like to remind you that one of the president's most important directives is the construction of the Technological Valley in the Southern planning zone. Our common goal is technological leadership for the Northern capital. At SPIEF, we are creating a platform for the city's future successes in priority development areas. The agreements that the city will sign at the forum will support us in achieving the objectives set by the president, said the Governor.
It is noted that the Northern capital's stand will showcase the image of a vibrant, dynamic Saint Petersburg – a city of the future, innovations, and scientific developments with a great cultural and historical heritage. Solutions in the fields of unmanned vehicles, transport mobility, advanced space technologies, production and automation equipment, new energy technologies, and citizen health preservation, as well as major infrastructure projects, will be presented here.
The signing of several dozen agreements is planned, aimed at further strengthening technological sovereignty, developing innovative production and the transport sector, as well as the city's pharmaceutical and automotive clusters, and constructing social, public-business, cultural, and engineering infrastructure facilities.
Saint Petersburg's business program includes 15 events, 2 of which are part of the federal SPIEF program. These are the panel discussion “Everyone to the Park! Strategies and Practices for the Success of Creative Sustainable Cities” and the business session “International Promotion: Developing New Tourism Offers and Products.” The key topics of the 13 regional-level events will be artificial intelligence, the development of port infrastructure, medical tourism, reducing the labor shortage in the economy, and creative industries.
The XXVII St. Petersburg International Economic Forum will take place from June 5-8.
SPIEF is a space for dialogue and the development of business connections, unparalleled in its scope. It is an opportunity to find partners for business development in Russia and beyond, expand the circle of clients and suppliers, get directly in touch with decision-makers, attract the attention of potential investors and leading media outlets.
